The "Llotja de la Seda" ("Silk Exchange Market") is one of the most relevant late Gothic-style buildings in the world and its a principal tourist attraction in Valencia.
It was built between 1482 and 1548 and is composed by three different pieces in addition the walled court-yard. The palm tree shaped columns of the Trading Hall are famous all over Europe. The Unesco considered it as a World Heritage Site in 1996 since it dramatically illustrates the power and wealth of one of the great Mediterranean mercantile cities.
