Dear colleagues,
According to its mission and objectives, the purpose of the European Association for Architectural Education is to advance the quality of architectural education and also to promote the quality of architecture in Europe. EAAE provides a forum for generating information on aspects of architectural education and architectural research.
Every two years EAAE organizes an International Conference on Research in Architecture along its North American counterpart, the Architectural Research Centers Consortium. With many very succesful events in our records held alternately in Europe and North America , the organization of the 2020 edition has been commissioned to the Higher Technical School of Architecture of the Polytechnic University of Valencia, Spain.
The topic chosen on this occasion has been "The architect and the city". Being aware of the importance of cities in the present century, our International Conference aims to recover the importance of the role of architects in the design, renovation and management of cities. The transdisciplinarity inherent to these issues has allowed us for offering a range of different and varied tracks.
On behalf of the European Association for Architectural Education it is my pleasure to invite you to join us at the 2020 EAAE-ARCC International Conference. I hope we will meet in Valencia, Spain, in November 2020.
